A video has quivered the internet as it shows a parliamentarian of the ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh threatening a police officer live on camera.

"I will get all the malai out, khaal bhi khichwa lungi (I will get all the illegal wealth seized, will skin you alive)," Ms Rawat, 31, allegedly told police officer Gyananjay Singh on the phone, shouting at him for "misbehavior”.

NDTV has reported the parliamentarian was Priyanka Singh Rawat. “I didn’t like his attitude and that’s why I said I will skin him,” NDTV quoted Priyanka.

The video clearly shows in spite of any remorse Priyanaka kept on repeating that she would skin the police officer if he didn’t change his attitude.

“She did not retract her words when reporters asked her about her alleged threat to Mr Singh”, NDTV quoted an Additional Superintendent of Police, at Barabanki, around 40 km from Lucknow.

According to the  NDTV reports, Priyanka said, the police officer had misbehaved and displayed poor attitude towards her when she had called him to talk about a murder investigation which was taking place under his supervision.

“He misbehaved with me when I called him last week to discuss about a muder case which he has undertaken. But, this person used abusive words and said ‘I am the police, I know what I am doing’ said, Priyanka.

Ever since BJP took charge of UP, many such incidents have been reported where BJP lawmakers has been charged for using abusive language and giving threat to the police officials. One similar incident was reported last week when a BJP MP was accused of leading a procession without permission, and then targeting a police officer's home with a mob and threatening him.

Another case on the same issue was reported two days ago, when BJP legislator Kesar Singh, offended that a bank manager was not paying attention to him, and for this the BJP official allegedly dragged him out of his office into a waiting car and thrashed him reported  NDTV.
