Two days after the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's close aide Sasikala Natrajan was elected as the legislature party leader, AIADMK founding leader PH Pandian has questioned  Natrajan's elevation.

While addressing a press conference at his home, Pandian said,"Sasikala cheated us and wants to be the chief minister, we oppose it."

He said that she  doesn't have the qualities to become AIADMK Gen Secy & Tamil Nadu CM and also raised questions on the conduct of press conference when the matter is in the court.

"It's because of blessings of late TN CMs Jayalalithaa & MGR that SasikalaNatarajan's swearing-in ceremony didn't take place," added Pandian.

Another AIADMK leader, Manoj Pandian said that he was told by the late leader that she did not want Sasikala to become Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

The statement has come at a time when Sasikala is all set to be sworn in as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

Just a day before, Sasikala's swearing-in ceremony was postponed after a PIL was moved in the Supreme Court.

It sought to restrain Sasikala from being sworn in as Tamil Nadu chief minister on the ground that the apex court was likely to pronounce within a week the judgement in a corruption case in which she and late CM J Jayalalithaa were accused.
