Farmers do not have much to cheer. Even a bumper crop does not take their income to the minimum required level. Prices below MSP is hurting them.
Providing subsidies does not ensure it reaches the hand of the needy. The definition of a farmer needs to be clear for policymakers to ensure benefits.
