Swiatek prevailed over Madison Keys 6-1, 6-3, while Medvedev went down to Tommy Paul 1-6, 4-6. Swiatek will next face Coco Gauff in the last-four stage, who defeated Zheng Qinwen in another quarter-final.

In a game that practically ended the playoff hopes of both these teams, Delhi Capitals came out on top defeating Lucknow Super Giants by 19 runs. Batting first, DC rode on fifties from Abhishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs to post a formidable 208/4 on the board. Mumbai Storm And Rain in Pics: A sudden dust storm accompanied by rain wreaked havoc in Maharashtra's Mumbai and nearby areas and also left several dead. At least 14 persons were killed and over dozens others injured on Monday in rain-related incidents in Mumbai wherein a 100-foot tall billboard fell on a petrol pump in Ghatkopar area while an under-construction metal tower collapsed on a road amid gusty winds in Wadala.

Barcelona moved above Girona into second place in the Spanish league after beating Real Sociedad 2-0 on Monday. Sheraldo Becker had the ball in the net midway through the first half for Sociedad but the goal was disallowed for offside. Barcelona, though, gradually took control with Raphinha hitting the woodwork after 38 minutes and Lamine Yamal breaking the deadlock two minutes later. The Brazilian winger completed the scoring from the penalty spot three minutes into stoppage time after Álvaro Odriozola was adjudged to have handled in the box. The result pushed Barcelona to one point more than Girona.
