These goblets may not be fit for kings, but neither is Makrana, a small dusty town in Rajasthan. The only thing going for it is marble—and it’s all over the place. In fact, it seems to be the only thing they sell. When you’re done looking at ant-size figure rappel hundreds of feet into the marble mines around town, head to some of the shops. They sell everything from marble thrones and intricate inlay table-tops, to gothic marble sofa-sets, and these heavy marble goblets (Rs 100 for a pair). If nothing else, the sheer exertion of lifting them will make your drink last longer.
