The architecture is in the signature style of Frank Gehry, the man behind the Guggenheim Bilbao and the upcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. The Fondation Louis Vuitton, a museum commissioned by Bernard Arnault, opened in late October and is on its way to becoming one of the top cultural attractions of Paris. The Fondation aims to support art and creation, and the galleries are divided between permanent collections, temporary exhibitions, and artists’ commissions. The space also has an auditorium designed for multi-disciplinary performances and events. Large terraces accessible throughout the museum give visitors stunning views of Paris and of the green expanse of the Jardin d’Acclimatation, where the Fondation is set. Location: 8 avenue du Mahatma Gandhi – Bois de Boulogne.
