Launching the ‘Dine with Royalty’ programme, eatwithIndia founders Sonal Saxena and Shantanu Mahanta hosted a preview dinner at the residence of the Ambassador of Belgium to India, H.E. Jan Luykx. With the air reverberating with qawwalis by the famous Nizami brothers, guests dug into vegetarian dishes from the royal kitchens of Kangra and non-vegetarian dishes from Rampur. For those interested in dining with the royalty, the founders announced that in October, guests can enjoy a meal with 20 erstwhile royal families. There will be lunch and dinner in six luxury tents. Each tent will be from a particular region and serve 35 guests. Members of the royal families of that region will also dine with the guests.

Special performances by local artistes will be showcased. Baradari, a special platform to discuss cuisine and culture, will also be formed. A ticketed and pre-booked event, walk-ins will not be entertained. At the preview, merchandise comprising spices, pickles and preserves under the label of eatwithIndia was also launched. Saxena and Mahanta launched eatwithIndia as they wanted to keep the regional cuisine of India alive. Through this platform, guests across the country have been enjoying authentic cuisine in the chefs’ homes. Visit eatwithindia.com for more details.
