It was on the June 25 that I first seriously considered going to the Maasai Mara in Kenya, and by July 16, we found ourselves landing in Nairobi. What had long been a distant dream was suddenly unfolding in reality.Death affects people differently. We knew prices would be higher, but the pull of the season, combined with our emotional resolve, left us undeterred.
