UEFA Nations League 2022-23: Luka Modric Penalty Against Netherlands Powers Croatia Into Final - In Pics

Luka Modric scored an extra-time penalty to give his team a 4-2 victory over the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday. Modric, playing his 165th match for his country, was deemed as 'fantastic' by the opposition coach Ronald Koeman. Andrej Kramaric (55'), Mario Pasalic (72'), and Bruni Petkovic (98') were the other goal-scorers for Croatia. Donyell Malen (34') and Noa Lang (90+6') did their bit for the Netherlands to take the game to the distance. The Oranje have not won an international trophy since winning the 1988 European Championship, finishing runners-up in three World Cups - in 1974, 1978, and 2010. Croatia will face either Spain or Italy, who play their semi-final match on Thursday.
