Shri Srinivasan—he a good Indian;
He knows how in India when words are uttered,
It is mostly keeping in mind
Which side the bread is buttered.
And how what is said today
Is denied tomorrow, and what unsaid
An earnest of what one may borrow.
Big players, big heroes, critical of corruption,
Thus remain wary of unprofitable eruption
Within the till that the BCCI hoards,
Furnished graciously to obliging lords
Who rule the hoi polloi heart
Innocent in adulation, not knowing
How moolah soaks them
In luxurious perdition.
Smart is the Indian who equivocates
With tireless, forked tongue,
Sending the truth seeker blundering
The myriad mirages among.
And successful are the Indians who
Stay as one in perfidy,
Blocking with a millions walls
What is there for all to see.
