The UK recently rolled out a list with nearly 50 countries which it has classified as &ldquolow risk&rdquo and people travelling directly from these countries into England do not need to go for quarantine for fourteen days.

People travelling from countries, which are categorised under &lsquoamber &rsquo, such as Italy, Germany, France and Spain, no longer have to go through quarantine for a period of fourteen days.

Safe countries under the &lsquogreen&rsquo category include New Zealand, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands and smaller states like the Vatican.

However, strict quarantine restrictions and safety guidelines continue to be applicable for &lsquored&rsquo countries such as the United States of America, India and others.

UK Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps also made it clear in his announcement of easing restrictions that the United Kingdom shall include those countries with &ldquoreduced risks&rdquo in its &lsquoamber&rsquo category who shall agree to join bilateral &ldquoreciprocal arrangements&rdquo. By this, UK citizens would also be exempted from quarantine on arrival at these countries.  Thus, Greece did not feature in the amber list as it did not allow flights from UK.

Though &ldquoblanket rules&rdquo regarding non-essential travel has been eased and restrictions are lifted, &nbspthe exempted &lsquoamber&rsquo countries will be kept under close check in order to monitor the rate of spread of infections there and alter travel restrictions accordingly.
