Telangana: Bandi Sanjay Kumar Steps Down As BJP State President, G Kishan Reddy To Take Over

BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar confirmed his stepping down as the Telangana state party president and thanked other party leaders and karyakartas for their love and support towards him during his tenure.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, former Bharatiya Janata Party president in Telegana and Member of Parliament from Karimnagar constituency signed off as the state president of BJP while thanking all party leaders and karyakartas for their support during his tenure.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar took to Twitter to bid adieu to his post as state president for the party and began to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and national party president JP Nadda in his long message. He then continued to thank the party leaders and karyakartas in his state for their love and encouragement.

He further wrote, "Grateful to people of Telangana who have welcomed me with open arms in every step during #PrajaSangramaYatra . Always indebted to Karimnagar voters & karyakarthas who made me what I am today."

Kumar also said, "I am happy that I am not a sad story but all of you have given me the most memorable moments - be it staying with me during arrests, standing by when attacked or laughing in moments of joy."

Who is the next Telangana BJP chief?

Bandi Sanjay Kumar concluded his tweet saying, "Under the able leadership of Shri @kishanreddybjp garu I look forward to working for the party with renewed vigour."

Kumar confirmed that ahead of the Telangana Assembly polls, Union Minister of Tourism, G Kishan Reddy will be the state president of Bharatiya Janata Party.

G Kishan Reddy also tweeted about his new position and reportedly said, "I hope that I have lived up to the expectations of high command as state chief, I thank all those who stood by me when I was arrested."
