Rains lashed parts of Haryana and Punjab, causing the mercury to dip slightly below the normal limits on Friday, the MeT office said.
In Haryana, Ambala, Karnal, Rohtak, Panchkula, Kurukshetra and Fatehabad received rain, they said.
In Punjab, Fatehgarh Sahib, SBS Nagar and Rupnagar were lashed by light rains.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, also received showers.
During the past several days, sultry weather conditions prevailed in the two states and Chandigarh.
