To imagine that America would invest so heavily in the nuclear deal with India and then be content to be left in the lurch, while Paris and Moscow have a bonanza, is the height of naivety

So what's the latest? That there is no deal with Musharraf but that Benazir would "work with him"? But only for "wider interests" of Pakistan and for its "transition to democracy", needless to say.

The fall of the Musharraf regime may not be imminent, but the sudden and spectacular agitation against him seems to indicate that it is only downhill slide from now on

Why all this fuss and pother over Musharraf's much-hyped interview, especially if he has only repeated what he has said before, including in his book that was released with such fanfare in October?
