The trailer of ‘Gaslight’ is interesting. The film is a suspense thriller, and you play a specially-abled character. How did you prepare for the part?

I think it was very exciting and each role comes with its own set of challenges. I think it was technically quite a different challenge as you have to learn how to maneuver and learn how to express yourself as an actor without using the lower body. There were both challenges that one had to work with and I hope it is received with love from the audience.

You have worked with Chitrangda Singh and Vikrant Massey in the film. How was the camaraderie on sets?

It was amazing. They are just experienced actors but yet so humble and giving co-actors. It was amazing to learn with them, under them. It was just great.

The film was shot in just 36 days at a location in Gujarat. Any anecdotes from the shoot?

It was actually an interesting experience. The energy of a start to finish shoot is something else. The unit goes to sets together, wraps up and comes back. It’s a great group effort. I haven’t been going home to the hotel, I was just staying at the location mostly. It was a lovely palace with a guest house. It was slightly isolated and borderline scary, and I had a blast.

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Tips Films Ltd and Akshai Puri, 12th Street Entertainment, 'Gaslight' will drop on Disney+ Hotstar on March 31, 2023.
