Jung Kook And Usher's 'Standing Next To You Remix' Enters iTunes Top 10

BTS' Jung Kook's 'Standing Next To You' remix in collaboration with American R&B star Usher has started dominating the global music scene 2 hours within its release on December 1.

BIGHIT MUSIC announced on November 29 that Usher would be joining Jung Kook on the remix of 'Standing Next to You.' 

This version of the song adds a soft and light touch to the upbeat song. The remix, as of now, ranks seventh on US iTunes, giving head-to-head competition to Taylor Swift’s 'You Are Losing Me,' and Jack Harlow’s 'Lovin on Me.' It achieved this goal in just 2 hours of its release. 

Apart from US iTunes, it has already claimed the top spot on the iTunes chart in more than15 countries, including the Philippines, Peru, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, Argentina, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia, Qatar, and Estonia.

Fans are praising and loving every bit of the remix. A fan wrote “Usher has posted multiple stories and posts for Standing Next To You remix with Jungkook. He has also pinned the post on his account!” Others said “I love it when I hear Jungkook's voice harmonizes with real vocalists” and so on. This remix adds a new layer to Jung Kook's solo endeavours, which has already seen successful collaborations with Latto, Jack Harlow, Major Lazer, Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes on his debut album 'GOLDEN.'

For those who are unacquainted, Usher is an influential figure in the contemporary R&B music world since his debut in 1994. Meanwhile, BTS continues to dominate the world despite being on a hiatus with the seven member lineup including RM, Jin, J-hope, Suga, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. Amidst the success of the new release, let's not forget that Jung Kook is gearing up to enlist in the mandatory South Korean military service.
