In the beginning of December, all members of BLACKPINK “signed an exclusive contract for group activities” with their label YG Entertainment following extensive negotiations. Now, on December 29, YG Entertainment released an official statement, after much-anticipation, confirming that Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé won't pursue individual activities and promotions under the label.

According to the press release, the statement said,

"Some time ago, YG Entertainment renewed BLACKPINK's contracts for the team's promotions as a group. We have now come to an agreement to not sign contracts for the members' individual promotions. YG Entertainment promises to support BLACKPINK's group activities with all available resources, while also cheering on the members' individual activities with a warm heart. Thank you."

The news comes days after Jennie announced her own label, Odd Atelier (OA), which she established in November 2023. She described it as “a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected."

As for other members, their individual plans for next year have not been revealed yet.
