Apeksha Porwal Talks About Her First International Series 'Slave Market'

‘Undekhi’ actress Apeksha Porwal has just debuted in an international series called ‘Slave Market’. The actress is making great strides with her acting prowess across the globe.

Apeksha Porwal shot to fame with her debut series Undekhi in which she plays a tribal girl out to avenge her sister’s death. And now, the young actress making great strides, as her much-awaited international English-Arabic show, ‘Slave Market’, releases worldwide.

Sharing her experience of being associated with ‘Slave Market’ show and working with international actors, stating, “‘Slave Market’ is one of the most exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had. To work on this beautiful period story, at such amazing locations, and extravagant sets with cast and crew from all around the world is nothing short of a dream. The character Lavani and the story is very dear to my heart and I am excited to finally share what we’ve spent months working on with the audiences.”

For the unversed, ‘Slave Market’ was filmed with 70 global actors across 104 locations that depict various parts of the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. The series features Miss India Apeksha Porwal along with Fayez Bin Jurays, Al Anoud Saud, Hashim Najdi, Haneen Turkistany, Nawaf al-Dhufairi, Nagham al-Malki, Marzouk al-Ghamdy, Saeed al-Qahtani, Shyam Kishore, Janique Charles, Chris J Gordon, Avant Strangel, Justina Biosah, Genlee Motlana, Paballo Owami Landu, Shannon Gaskin, Nick Cornwall, Natasha Choufani, Lauren Elise Thomas, Nizar Alsulaimani, and Sumaiah Abdulwahab.

The nine-episode show – produced by Middle-Eastern media giant MBC Studios, written by famed writer Kuwait’s Heba Mashari Hamada and directed by award-winning Tunisian director Lassaad Oueslati – is set in the 1900s and follows the journey of Apeksha Porwal, who plays an Indian princess and her entrapment into slavery along with a turbulent love story.
