Sandeep Vanga Reddy is winning hearts all over with his latest release ‘Animal’. Just like his last film ‘Kabir Singh’, this film too has become a hot topic of discussion. While billions have loved both films, there is also an entire section of society that didn’t like either of the films. It is this section of society which feels that the films exploit themes of toxic masculinity, misogyny and graphic violence.

Manoj Bajpayee had once been asked about ‘Kabir Singh’ and he had voiced his thoughts. His statement is so apt even in the case of ‘Animal’ that the statement has once again resurfaced on social media. People are quoting Manoj Bajpayee’s words while discussing Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest flick while talking to people who didn’t like ‘Animal’.

While talking to Mid Day back then, Manoj Bajpayee had said, “‘Kabir Singh’ for me, is part of the society. You want to take it the way it is, it’s fine. You don’t want to take it the way it is, don’t watch it.” Emphasising that if people’s views started getting films censored then that would start a trend of moral policing. On the same, Manoj Bajpayee further stated, “Films don’t change society, films change hairstyles.”

It stands so true even in the case of ‘Animal’. People who didn’t like the film or feel that the film isn’t something that they would like to watch after seeing the trailer should simply stay away from watching the Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Mandanna starrer flick. If the section of society that didn’t like the film was more than the people who loved the film, then the film would never have earned so much at the box-office. Just in a day, the film crossed the coveted Rs 100 Crore and is soon on its way to becoming a global blockbuster.
