Epoch Batteries Launches RV Battery Models That Charge In Freezing Temperatures

Two new RV battery models just came out from Epoch Batteries, and cold-weather charging is the main thing that sets them apart. Most lithium batteries simply will not take a charge once outside temperatures fall too low. Epoch went after that problem directly with these two models, putting heating inside the battery itself so that it does not happen anymore. Both sit within the Essential Series. The 12V 300Ah RV battery is $1,199, and orders are already going through. For the 12V 460Ah model, $1,499 is the price, and pre-orders opened up recently. Winter RV living comes with a problem that does not get talked about enough. The battery works fine all day, temperatures fall overnight, and by morning, the cells are too cold to take any charge back in. Capacity starts at 50Ah and goes up to 460Ah, depending on what the application needs.
