Italy edged out hosts Hungary 11-10 to advance into the semifinals of the World Aquatics Championships 2022. Italy will face Greece in the last four stage who outclassed United States 16-11. The other two semifinalists are Spain and Croatia who defeated Montenegro and Serbia respectively. Meanwhile, Italy’s Gregorio Paltrinieri won the men’s 10km swimming master class on Wednesday to bag his second gold medal in Budapest. In the women’s category, Dutch Olympic gold medallist Sharon van Rouwendaal, took the top prize.
