- Manoj Prabhakar was the kingpin and the pointsman for many bookies, including the infamous Mukesh Kumar Gupta, known to the cricket world as MK.
- The records of Chennai bookie Uttam Chand, as also his cellphone in possession with the cbi, reveal that messages were left in Ajay Jadeja's voicemail. The full details of his connections with other Delhi bookies is yet to be brought to light.
- MK arranged to pay $60,000 for the upkeep of Sri Lankan cricketer Aravinda De Silva's girlfriend in Australia, who bore him a child.
- Navjot Singh Sidhu's declaration of Rs 75 lakh through the vdis scheme was a gift from a relative. Ajay Sharma says that Sidhu once showed him a bag of money which he said he would declare as farm income. Sidhu has no farm.
- Most of the major bookies, including MK, Shoban Mehta and Uttam Chand, have never paid taxes till date. MK told the cbi that he had made over Rs 5 crore through "insider information" to "do" matches. The cbi believes it's much more.
- Almost all cricketers interrogated during the probe were suspicious of former wicket-keeper Nayan Mongia. Some believed he brought bad luck, especially if they shared a room with him during tours.
- Mongia was clever not to possess a cellular phone. The cbi also could not obtain details of calls from his land line because the records are destroyed periodically.
- Both Mongia and Ali Irani, former physiotherapist of the Indian cricket team, had to be "shouted at" by cbi interrogators before they began talking.
- According to the investigators, former Indian cricket team manager Ajit Wadekar was unconvincing, to say the least. He dodged specific queries and pretended that he knew nothing of the murky goings-on.
