The Pole has taken a three-love lead in the first set, but the heat is taking its toll on the spectators, with the third medical incident of the day. There's a nine-minute gap, which will do neither player any benefit, but the game finally resumes.

Just when Bencic thought hse had clawed her way back into the set with two points, Swiatek upped the pace of the game, which results in a few bad play from the Swiss player. Swiatek is close to clinching the first set.

Absolutely sublime from Swiatek, not giving Bencic any breathing space. The Swiss hits the return straight into the net, and the Pole takes the first set with relative ease.

Other than two double-faults from Swiatek at the start of the set, not much has gone Bencic’s way in the second part of the match either. She is struggling to counter Swiatek’s accurate strokes, with the Pole winning 84% of her first serve points.

That's as dominant a win as you have seen in any Wimbledon semi-finals. Swiatek completely decimated the Olympic champion. Fair play to Bencic, returning from motherhood to mark her best-ever Wimbledon finish, but today, she has been second-best by some margin.
