From parents inspiring their kids to chase greatness, to sibling World Champions, these fighting families represent the very best of what martial arts can offer – dedication, perseverance, and the unbreakable bonds forged through shared struggle and triumph.

These are the five best fighting families that have graced the world’s largest martial arts organization.

#1 The Lee Family

The Lee family doesn’t just represent ONE’s greatest fighting dynasty – they’ve also made history like no other athletes have in the promotion.

“Unstoppable” Angela Lee blazed the trail as the family’s first superstar. The former ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion became a global sensation with her incredible five-round war against Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi to capture the inaugural World Title in 2016.

She defended her gold four times, and her retirement in 2023 marked the end of one chapter. But the Lee legacy was far from over.

Christian “The Warrior” Lee followed in his sister’s footsteps and went on to become arguably the most accomplished member of this remarkable stable.

He is the current ONE Lightweight and Welterweight MMA World Champion, and one of the most feared competitors in the organization’s history.

His 2019 knockout of Japanese MMA legend Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki made him the youngest-ever male MMA World Champion in ONE, and alongside Angela, they became the only sibling MMA World Champions in the promotion’s history.

The youngest of the brood, Adrian “The Phenom” Lee, represents the future of this MMA dynasty. The 19-year-old star is currently a perfect 3-0 to start his professional career.

His brother Christian has called him a “future World Champion in the making,” and Adrian’s recent submission victories in ONE suggest that prophecy may soon come to pass.

Adrian returns to action at ONE Fight Night 35: Buntan Vs. Hemetsberger on Prime Video, where he will square off against ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo in a three-round lightweight MMA bout on September 5 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. 

#2 The Ruotolo Twins

The Ruotolo twins represent a modern martial arts miracle. These two athletes started their journey together as toddlers and eventually reached the absolute pinnacle of submission grappling excellence.

After tearing up the grappling scene and winning the most prestigious BJJ tournaments in the world, Kade Ruotolo and Tye Ruotolo took their talents to ONE in 2022 and never looked back.

Kade established dominance in his ONE debut, winning a generational clash with Japanese legend Shinya Aoki at ONE 157. The youngest ADCC World Champion went on to capture the inaugural ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Title at ONE on Prime Video 3 by submitting Uali Kurzhev. 

After defending his crown three times, Kade made a seamless transition into the MMA realm, where he recorded three straight first-round submission victories.

Meanwhile, Tye carved his own path to greatness as the ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion. The 21-year-old shocked the world by submitting American grappling icon Garry “The Lion Killer” Tonon with his signature D’Arce choke.

Tye has defended his throne against formidable challengers, including tough Canadian Dante Leon at ONE Fight Night 31 this past May. 

The 185-pound grappling king is set to make his MMA debut at ONE Fight Night 35 against Adrian Lee. 

#3 The Haggerty Brothers

Combat sports is a way of life in the Haggerty household. 

Jonathan “The General” Haggerty rose to prominence to become one of the best strikers the United Kingdom has ever produced.

The Englishman first announced his arrival as a global superstar in 2019 after a victory over legendary Thai fighter Sam-A Gaiyanghadao to capture the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title.

But Jonathan was just getting started. The Team Underground and Knowlesy Academy product conquered a second weight division in his stunning knockout of long-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama in 2023.

Later that same year, he made even more history by knocking out Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade for the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title, cementing his place in history as a two-sport World Champion.

Following Jonathan’s lead is his brother Freddie Haggerty. The 20-year-old knows he has big shoes to fill, but is ready to step out of his World Champion sibling’s shadow and make a name for himself in ONE.

After a promising amateur career, Freddie captivated audiences with three straight exhilarating knockout wins in the ONE Friday Fights circuit. 

The younger Haggerty has his sights set on earning a six-figure contract to compete in the promotion’s main roster and perhaps become a ONE World Champion one day, just like his brother.

#4 The Estupinan Siblings

The Estupinan twins’ heartwarming story seems like it’s straight out of a Hollywood movie. 

Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan and Jordan Estupinan have had a remarkable journey, growing up in an orphanage in Colombia to now competing under the bright lights of the global stage in ONE.

Johan became the first-ever Colombian athlete to join the world’s largest martial arts organization and he quickly showed his prowess in “the art of eight limbs,” racking up five straight victories. 

“Panda Kick” became a fan-favorite for his frenetic style and even collected back-to-back US$50,000 bonuses for his electrifying finishes over Sean Climaco and Zakaria El-Jamari. 

His twin brother Jordan appears to be cut from the same cloth and is also making waves in the flyweight Muay Thai division. The 22-year-old notched an impressive win over fellow phenom Freddie Haggerty in January, and went 2-0 in ONE with another stellar showing against Ali Saldoev this past May. 

#5 The Jaroonsak Sisters

The Jaroonsak family is built on a tradition of fighting excellence, and have now produced not one but two world-class female fighters to represent their clan.

Raised by a patriarch who was a skilled former professional Muay Thai fighter, fighting came naturally for Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak and Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak.

“Supergirl” already had 40 Muay Thai bouts to her name by the time she turned 16, making her one of the youngest veterans in the game.

The PBA Thailand Champion brought her signature spearing knee technique to ONE and stormed her way to impressive victories over Milagros Lopez and Ekaterina “Barbie” Vandaryeva. 

Anna captured the hearts of fans even in defeat against three-sport World Champion Stamp Fairtex in 2023, proving the effectiveness of the Jaroonsak fighting system.

Meanwhile, her older sister, “Wondergirl,” transitioned from an elite Muay Thai striker to a complete martial artist. 

Nat notched back-to-back knockout wins in Muay Thai before shifting her focus to MMA. The natural striker showed her grappling skills with a submission victory over Zeba “Fighting Queen” Bano in 2022.
