A slew of rising stars battled it out in the hopes of earning a coveted US$100,000 contract to compete on the world’s largest martial arts organization main roster, and riveting action was the result.

Before all eyes turn to ONE Fight Night 29: Rodrigues vs. McManamon later today, here’s a recap of all the show-stopping finishes and intense battles that went down live in Asia primetime.

Yod-IQ Dismantles Morari For Sixth Win In A Row

After biding his time in the first round of contest, Yod-IQ switched to high gear for the remaining stanzas.

He mauled Morari with a series of terrifying elbows in round two, leaving his forehead a bloody mess, as ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai watched on from his corner.

The 22-year-old powerhouse knew he had his Moldovan foe hurt, so he went hunting for the finish with a flurry of elbows in the third frame. But, to his credit, Morari stood his ground and absorbed the punishment to see the final bell.

In the end, Yod-IQ had to settle for the unanimous decision win, which pushed his record to 8-1 in ONE Championship and 123-36 overall.

Lamsing Blitzes Ngaopayak To Score Second-Round TKO

Ngaopayak settled into the bout by letting several unorthodox high kicks loose early on. However, Lamsing quickly nullified the threat and chopping his foe’s legs with intensity.

In round two, Lamsing read Ngaopayak’s plan to perfection. He allowed his Thai compatriot to approach, then sent him to the mat with a huge right hand. 

Seconds later, the Sor Dechapan standout scored another knockdown. When the action resumed, he swarmed Ngaopayak in the corner and sent him down a final time with a stern right hand.

The bout was waved off at 1:34 of the second frame, and Lamsing moved to 3-1 in ONE Championship and 69-17 overall, with the TKO win.

Sirichok Edges Past Lothong In Competitive Battle

Sirichok started strong, landing a stinging left hook to his Thai compatriot’s body followed by an overhand right to the head.

However, Lothong halted his momentum in the second round by effectively using left kicks to control the pace.

Sirichok recognized his foe’s plan, so he worked to close the distance with a relentless assault in the final frame.

He staggered Lothong with left and right hooks, forcing him to rely on jabs and push kicks to maintain space between them.

Very little separate the pair at the final bell, but Sirichok’s overall aggression secured him the split-decision win, moving him to 2-0 in ONE Championship and 82-15 overall.

Wuttikrai Announces Himself With Third-Round Head Kick KO

The debuting star started the contest in control. Changthong was game, but he held his ground and landed everything with substance.

However, he relaxed his efforts in round two, allowing Changthong to gain momentum and find a knockdown with a stunning right hand. But Wuttikrai quickly realized the error of his ways, and he roared back to send Changthong down with an inside elbow. 

Then, just 24 seconds into round three, the Wor Chakrawut star slammed home a head kick KO to make sure his name would be remembered. The thrilling finish also moved his career record to 46-17.

Chathai Outclasses Petmuangthai In Thrilling Split-Decision Win

After taking the first three minutes to feel each other out, both fighters went hunting for a match-ending sequence in the second round.

Petmuangthai blasted Chathai with a flurry of hooks early on, but the Bangsaen Fight Club man retaliated with a barrage of punches near the ropes.  

Chathai pushed his momentum in the third and unloaded heavy combinations upstairs to send Petmuangthai onto the back foot.

The Sor Naruemon striker kept in the fight, but Chathai’s late aggression was enough to earn him the nod from two of the three judges, which nabbed him his 41st career win.

Tangtang Bests Nongfahsai In Three-Round Muay Thai Thriller

Both fighters displayed dynamic footwork as they traded identical strikes in the early going. But it was Nongfahsai who got the edge in the first round when she struck with a venomous right elbow from close range.

With that shock, Tangtang chose to ramp up the pace in the later rounds. Her pressure forced Nongfahsai onto the back foot in the second and limited her ability to counter.

Tangtang’s forward pressure then proved decisive in the final frame. She landed cleaner shots throughout, and that convinced all three judges to give her the nod. With the win, the Sor Dechapan star improved to 2-0 in ONE Championship and 62-12 overall.

Worapon Gets Revenge On Sen In Three-Round Clinic

The Thai striker started on the front foot as he drained Sen with frequent body shots and heavy low kicks that slowed him down. 

Worapon followed up on that body of work with relentless elbows and knees in the second round. Sen attempted to find ways back in, but the Sor Dechapan man’s prowess stumped him at every turn.

His heavy output saw him slice open “Golden Boy” with an elbow in the third round. Though Sen gathered himself and hit back, it was too little too late, and Worapon was handed his 65th career win via unanimous decision. 

Petpattaya Dominates Ota To Earn Third Win In ONE

The Silk Muaythai standout was methodical and used accurate counters to disrupt Ota’s pace throughout the contest.

He gauged Ota in the opening round and proceeded to play target practice.

The Thai star had his sights locked on Ota’s head, and he bloodied the Shinkoh Muay Thai Gym affiliate’s nose with a crisp elbow counter in the second round.

Ota desperately tried to work his way back into the fight in round three, but Petpattaya continued to land heavy counters.

The unanimous decision call was all but a formality in the end, and Petpattaya moved to 3-1 in ONE Championship and secured his 104th career win with it.

Tanitsu Overwhelms Thet Paing Aung For Third Straight Knockout

Both men exchanged striking combinations at a furious pace as soon as the action kicked off, but Tanitsu got the edge in the opening round when he landed a flying knee to his foe’s ribs.

The Japanese striker’s relentless aggression trapped Thet Paing Aung against the ropes in the second round, where he unleashed a body kick that dropped the Myanmarese man for the first time.

Thet Paing Aung beat the count, but his survival was short-lived. Tanitsu quickly landed successive shots to the body and head, which dropped his opposite man to the canvas for good at 2:27 of the second round.

With the KO win, Tanitsu moved to 4-0 in ONE and secured his 12th career victory overall.

Hemetsberger Impresses In One-Sided Display Against Moretti

The aggressive Austrian set a high pace immediately and controlled the fray with a plethora of head kicks and effective punching combinations throughout the opening round. 

She picked up where she had left had off in the second frame, utilizing her long range to keep Moretti at bay and exhibiting impressive cardio to back her Italian foe into a corner and land strikes at will. 

The final frame was all one-way traffic from Hemetsberger. Moretti was visibly fatigued, but she held on tight to see the final bell.

However the win was clearly Hemetsberger’s, and she moved to 2-0 in ONE and 7-1 overall with the unanimous decision call.

Gnizditskiy Mauls Church En Route To Electric TKO Victory

The Russian brawler quickly got into his rhythm and blasted Church with a near-unstoppable striking barrage in the opening minute.

The American battled back to land a takedown, but he ate a brutal knee to the face as he returned to his feet.

From there, Gnizditskiy unleashed a barrage of concussive damage with his boxing prowess. Seeing that it was going only one way, referee Herb Dean eventually called a stop to the contest at 2:46 of round one.

With the debut win, “Samurai” pushed his overall career tally to five.

Axelsson Dominates Mammarella In All Areas To Earn Debut Win

In a wild opening exchange, the 28-year-old Swede dropped his foe with a right hook before taking control on the ground. When Mammarella escaped, Axelsson dropped him again with another pair of right hands.

The second round mirrored the first, with Axelsson landing another big shot to send his Australian-Italian opponent to the mat once more – and the dominance continued into the third frame.

Mammarella was forced to take more than his fair share of damage from the Royal Superpro man’s right hand, but he held on to hear the final bell.

Nonetheless, it was clear that Axelsson had done enough to take the win, and the unanimous decision victory stood as the fouth of his career.
