An exciting atomweight Muay Thai contest is set to go down as English-Irish sensation Marie McManamon takes on ONE Championship newcomer Selina Flores at ONE Fight Night 36: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella II on Prime Video.

The three-round encounter will take place inside Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 3, live in U.S. primetime.

McManamon arrives at this crossroads moment, determined to prove that her debut outing in ONE was just a minor setback on her road to greatness.

The Knowlesy Academy representative opened her account in the world’s largest martial arts organization by challenging ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Though she succumbed via fourth-round TKO to the Brazilian at ONE Fight Night 29 this past March, the London-based striker showcased the heart and technical skills that made her one of the United Kingdom’s top exports.

Using that defeat as a learning curve, McManamon, who is a teammate of reigning ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, has spent the past few months honing her craft for a return. 

Already equipped with a solid clinch game and a deep gas tank, the former Victory League and Roar Fighting Championship titleholder has all the tools needed to drag her foe into deep waters in this crucial atomweight Muay Thai tilt.

Standing opposite the British veteran is Flores, a WBC Muay Thai World Champion making her highly anticipated ONE debut.

The 27-year-old captured her first World Title gold in November last year to become only the third American athlete to achieve that distinction.

The San Diego native heads into her promotional bow after successfully defending her WBC strap against Barbara Fersan in Mexico this past February, proving her ability to perform under pressure on the international stage.

Flores, nicknamed “Teep Queen,” packs a masterful control of distance and pace. Apart from being a smooth operator with her signature teep kicks, her precision and technical superiority have helped her become a dominant force in the American Muay Thai scene.

Now, she looks to translate that success to the global stage of ONE against one of the very best talents from the United Kingdom.
