The world’s largest martial arts organization keeps the momentum rolling with another round of action in Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium on March 7.
ONE Friday Fights 99 features 12 more high-octane contests across Muay Thai, MMA, and kickboxing, as more international rising stars continue their pursuit of a lucrative US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
In the main event, 22-year-old phenomenon Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri looks to continue his scintillating surge in the series when he welcomes new arrival Petru Morari to the fold in an intriguing bantamweight Muay Thai affair.
Yod-IQ has won seven of his eight outings, with his only blip coming against Alexey Balyko in September 2023. Since that night, he’s had a strong return to form to win five in a row, including becoming the only man in ONE to defeat Abdulla Dayakaev along the way.
Given that Dayakaev earned a main roster contract in February, Yod-IQ, too, could be on the cusp of a six-figure contract. That means this week’s main event is a must-win scenario for him, but his debuting adversary has similar motives.
Morari arrives in the series with a highlight-reel resume to his name. The Moldovan star holds a record of 8-3, with three knockouts to bolster his name. One of those includes a spinning heel-kick knockout that went viral in 2021.
The momentum he’s gained across his career now brings him to the biggest stage in Muay Thai, and he’ll be looking to make the most of his moment in the spotlight this Friday night.
Earlier in the evening, Thailand’s Worapon Sor Dechapan rematches Turkish striking star Soner Sen in a 142-pound catchweight Muay Thai contest that’s not expected to go to the judges’ scorecards this time around.
The last time Worapon and Sen faced off at ONE Friday Fights 93 in January of this year, the two battled valiantly in a three-round thriller that left Lumpinee Stadium faithfuls on the edges of their seats.
Before that, Worapon experienced a series of setbacks on the weekly platform while Sen accumulated two knockouts over Petgarfield Jitmuangnon and Nonthakit Tor Morsi.
Now, Sen will look to continue his win streak against a man out for redemption, and both men want a definitive conclusion this time around.
Elsewhere, Stella Hemetsberger looks for her second win in ONE Friday Fights when she meets Anna Lia Moretti in strawweight kickboxing action.
Hemetsberger lit up Lumpinee Stadium in her debut as she showcased a unanimous decision win versus Chellina Chirino. This time, though, the roles are reversed as she welcomes Moretti. But the Italian has double the experience and plenty of confidence to make a splash in her inaugural outing.
In addition, the curtain opener will see two MMA bouts go down when Antonio Mammarella locks up with Oliver Axelsson in lightweight action before Ivan Gnizditskiy meets Kevin Church in a middleweight tilt.
Check out the full card below before the action begins this Friday at 7:30 a.m. ET/4:30 a.m. PT.
