After clinching a famous 106-run victory over Nepal 2 days ago, the United States of America defeated UAE in the 87th match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup league 2 in Dubai. With this victory, USA have reached the summit of the points table with 32 points from 22 matches.

In response, USA got off to a very poor start, losing both of their openers for 11 runs in 2.5 overs with Smit Patel getting out for a duck and Andries Gous scoring just 1.

Skipper Monank Patel steadied the innings with his 50 off 67 but a dramatic circumstance saw middle-order batters Saiteja Mukkamall and Shayan Jahangir get out cheaply for 8 and 18 respectively with Monank Patel departing in the 25th over when USA were 110.

With half of the tail gone, the Americans needed a miracle to stage a comeback and that's when Milind Kumar took the charge. He stitched an important partnership of 73 runs with Shubham Ranjane, who made a contribution of 46 runs.

Ranjane found the support of Harmeet Singh, Man of the match from USA's tie against Nepal. The duo scored the remaining 30 runs together with Harmeet smashing 134 off 13 at a strike rate of over 100 to help the North Americans win by 4 wickets with 5 balls to spare.
