Bangladesh started on a bright note with opener Tanzid Hasan taking the lead. Hasan smashed UAE bowlers early on and stitched a 90-run partnership for the opening wicket before getting dismissed in the 10th over. Hasan departed after scoring a well-paced 59 while Litton Das, his opening partner, got out in the 13th over for 40.

Towhid Hridoy helped Bangladesh keep going with a 24-ball 45 while Jaker Ali provided the finishing touch of 18 from six balls to take the score over 200. In the end, Bangladesh finished with 205/5.

Muhammad Jawadulllah of UAE took three wickets while Saghir Khan picked up a couple of scalps.

UAE too got off to a flying start with their skipper Muhammad Waseem taking charge. UAE scored 68 in the first six overs and kept going hard after that as well.

When Waseem got out after scoring 82 from just 42 balls, UAE needed 58 from 31 balls.

UAE batters kept finding boundaries even as Bangladesh bowlers kept striking at regular intervals. The equation was reduced to 29 off the last two overs. The last ball of the penultimate over went for five overthrows and Tanzim Hasan Sakib was left with 12 to defend. After bowling a wide and getting tonked for a six on the second ball, things were almost over. However, Sakib replied with a wicket on the third ball.

When three were needed from two balls, Sakib bowled a no ball and Haider Ali stole a double on the free hit to take UAE over the line with just a ball left and two wickets in hand.
