Thailand Vs Bhutan, ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier: Match Abandoned Due To Rain

Match 5 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier between Thailand Women and Bhutan Women has been called off due to persistent rain in Bangkok. The match was initially scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM local time at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground on Saturday.

Thailand and Bhutan have faced each other only once in T20Is, with Thailand coming out on top. As a result, the head-to-head record currently stands at 1-0 in favour of Thailand.

The hosts Thailand kicked off their campaign with a dominant eight-wicket win over Kuwait. Bowling first, they restricted the visitors at only 56/8 in 20 overs and then chased down the low-total in only 9 overs finishing at 57/2. Both the teams will clash again on May 13.

Meanwhile, Bhutan open their campaign with a point after their match was washed out due to rain on Saturday. They will face Kuwait on May 12.
