Punjab: Prabhsimran Singh (wk/c), Harnoor Singh, Anmolpreet Singh, Naman Dhir, Salil Arora, Sanvir Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Ayush Goyal, Gourav Choudhury, Harpreet Brar, Ashwani Kumar
Jharkhand: Ishan Kishan (wk/c), Kumar Kushagra, Virat Singh, Robin Minz, Anukul Roy, Pankaj Kumar, Rajandeep Singh, Bal Krishna, Sushant Mishra, Vikash Singh, Amit Kumar
Harnoor Singh cracks a boundary off the very first ball to signal his intent. Punjab stand-in skipper Prabhsimran Singh, leading in Abhishek Sharma's absence, also gets off the mark. Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan keeping wickets as usual.
PUN: 11/0 (1)
Vikash Singh accounts for Prabhsimran in the third over, and Sushant Mishra has Harnoor Singh caught by Anukul Roy in the fourth. Naman Dhir and Anmolpreet Singh have since joined forces and taken Punjab to 52 runs in the powerplay.
PUN: 52/2 (6)
Rajandeep Singh traps Anmolpreet Singh in the eighth over and that brings Salil Arora to the crease. Him and Naman Dhir have stitched a robust stand, as Punjab look to build a strong foundation for a late flourish.
PUN: 90/3 (11)
Naman Dhir falls to Bal Krishna for a 22-ball 27, and that brings Sanvir Singh into the middle. Meanwhile, Salil Arora has smashed a 23-ball fifty and is still going strong. His knock is almost single-handedly propelling Punjab to a handsome total.
PUN: 149/4 (16)
What an outstanding knock from Salil Arora. He finishes unbeaten on 125 off 45 balls as Punjab end up with a daunting 235-run total in 20 overs. If not for Salil, this innings could have looked very, very different. Jharkhand now have it all to do, and the onus would certainly be on skipper Ishan Kishan to do most of the heavy lifting.
They needed a flier at the start, and they have got one. Virat Singh slams 18 off the first six balls he faces, while captain Ishan Kishan also gets an early boundary as Punjab clatter 28 runs off the first two overs. But Ayush Goyal has Ishan caught by Sanvir Singh soon after, and Kumar Kushagra joins the Jharkhand skipper.
JHK: 28/1 (2.1)
Ishan Kishan cracks a 23-ball 47 that keep Jharkhand in the hunt for an unlikely win. But Ramandeep Singh scalps him to revitalize Punjab. Interestingly, the required run rate (11.42) is still below the current rate (12.38), but it's still a lot of runs to get at that pace.
JHK: 99/2 (8)
Despite having a monumental target of 235 runs at hand, JHK have a very bright chance of winning this game courtesy to Kumar Kushagra and Anukul Roy's 55-run stand for the 4th wicket. JHK still need 81 runs in 48 balls to win.
JHK: 155/3 (12)
Kumar Kushagra (77*) is playing a gem of innings against Punjab and with every passing over JHK are getting closer to the line of chasing down the target of 236 runs. They just need 35 runs to win in 24 balls.
Take a bow Kumar Kushagra! What a knock played the sensational talent for Jharkhand who helped his team to pull-off the highest ever chase in SMAT's history. Kumar Kushagra (86*) and Pankaj Kumar (39*) stayed till the end to pull off the magnificent chase.
That's a wrap from our end. We'll meet soon with another blog, until then bye bye.
