Bangladesh beat Pakistan women by 23 runs in match 15 of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 to keep their semifinal hopes alive at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on Saturday, June 20.
Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered their third consecutive loss and have been virtually eliminated from the tournament.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first on a tricky wicket, where the second match of the day was being played. Pakistan started well with the ball and reduced the Bengal Tigresses to 48/4 at one stage, but they somehow managed to reach 123/6 in 20 overs. Nigar Sultana (36) and Shorna Akter (39) played crucial knocks to get their team to a respectable total, while Fatima Sana picked up two wickets for Pakistan.
In reply, Pakistan got off to a strong start with the openers stitching a 49-run stand. However, once Gull Feroza got out at 23, the chase crumbled and the innings was restricted to 100/8 in 20 overs, thus losing the match by 23 runs.
