UP Warriorz thrash Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in Match 8 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Harleen Deol, who made headlines in the last match when she was tactically called back by UP's team management, leaving her retired out, proved her mettle with the bat the very next day against defending champions Mumbai by blasting an unbeaten 64 off 39 balls, making light work of the 162-run target set by MI.
Early MI, posted 161 runs on the board on the back of a well-crafted 65 by veteran all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt. It was UP's first win in four matches as they finally broke their three-match losing streak. However, they are still at the bottom of the points and will require more such thumping wins to climb up the points ladder.
UP Warriorz captain Meg Lanning won the toss and opted to bowl first in the WPL 2026 Match 8.
