Kashi Rudras defeated Meerut Mavericks by eight wickets to clinch the UP T20 title.
Kashi Rudras rose to the occasion in the grand finale, outplaying Meerut Mavericks by eight wickets to clinch the UP T20 crown. Chasing 145, the Rudras’ batting firepower proved too strong, as they wrapped up the chase inside 16 overs to lift the trophy in dominant fashion.
Batting first, the Mavericks faltered against disciplined bowling and could only post 144/9 in their 20 overs. Prashanth Chaudhary’s 37 off 29 was the lone standout knock, with cameos from Akshay Dubey (17) and Divyansh Rajput (18). However, regular breakthroughs from Sunil Kumar (2/40) and Shivam Mavi (2/36) ensured the Mavericks never got away.
In reply, skipper Karan Sharma stole the show with a blazing 65 off 31 balls, hammering 10 boundaries and two sixes to set the tone for the chase. He found an able partner in Abhishek Goswami, who anchored the innings with an unbeaten 61 from 45 deliveries. Their 108-run opening stand effectively sealed the game before Sharma’s dismissal.
With Goswami holding firm and Shubham Chaubey providing support at the end, the Rudras cruised to 148/2 in just 15.4 overs. The emphatic win handed Kashi Rudras the UP T20 championship, while the Mavericks were left to rue their missed opportunities on the big stage.
