The Northern Superchargers booked their place in The Hundred final with a commanding performance, brushing aside London Spirit by 42 runs in the eliminator.

On a day when conditions were far from ideal, Davina Perrin rose above the overcast skies to deliver a batting masterclass, hammering a magnificent century in 43 deliveries that powered her side to an imposing total of 214/5

Her controlled aggression and impeccable shot-making left the Spirit bowlers searching for answers, as the Superchargers racked up a score that always looked out of reach.

The chase was daunting from the outset, and Spirit, despite showing resilience throughout the tournament, never quite found the momentum. Their batting lineup crumbled under scoreboard pressure, losing wickets at regular intervals. Though a few batters chipped in with brief cameos, no one could anchor the innings, and the target proved well beyond their reach.

For the Superchargers, it was not just Perrin’s brilliance but also a collective effort in the field and with the ball. Their bowlers maintained discipline, striking at crucial intervals to stifle Spirit’s hopes of a comeback.

Despite the defeat, Spirit will take plenty of positives from their campaign. Missing some of their key players, they still managed to punch above their weight and secure a spot in the playoffs. But in the eliminator, they were comprehensively outclassed in all departments.
