Lahore Qalandars kept their playoff hopes alive with a thrilling six-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi at the Gaddafi Stadium. In a high-stakes encounter, the Qalandars successfully chased down a formidable target of 200, ending Peshawar Zalmi's seven-match winning streak in the tournament.

After being put in to bat first, Peshawar Zalmi posted a strong total of 199/4 in their 20 overs. The innings was anchored by captain Babar Azam, who scored a steady 59 off 45 balls.

However, the real fireworks came from Michael Bracewell, who smashed an unbeaten 83 off just 45 deliveries, including six massive sixes. The Lahore bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs in the death overs, with Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf picking up two wickets each but conceding over 10 runs per over.

Lahore's response started slowly, but Fakhar Zaman turned the game on its head after a cautious start. He top-scored with 58 runs, providing the necessary platform. Contributions from Charith Asalanka (33), Sikandar Raza (29) and a quick-fire 35 from Daniel Sams kept the required rate within reach.

The match went down to the final over, where Lahore needed to maintain their composure. They reached the target of 200 with three balls to spare, sparking celebrations in the home crowd.

Earlier in the day, David Warner's Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 9 wickets.

So far Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United have qualified for the play-offs with three franchises, namely Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen are still in contention for a possible 4th spot in the table.

The play-off matches will take place on April 28, 29 and May 1. The finale will be on May 3.
