Pondicherry's solid opening partnership is broken in the seventh over as Kangayan edges the ball to wicketkeeper Sanju Samson off Nidheesh's bowling. The opener departs after a well-made 25 off 22 balls, including five boundaries. Ajay Rohera has been more cautious at the other end at 14 off 22, while new batter Shreeram is already off the mark.

In 16.4 overs, Pondicherry have crossed the 100-run mark, with a 71-run partnership building up between Rohera and Shreeram. The former is battingat 45 off 52, including five fours and a six, and is approaching his half-century. Kerala need a breakthrough, soon.

Rohera reaches his fifty in style, hitting a six off Aparajith. However, in the first ball of the 19th over, his stumps are castled by Ankit, and the opener departs for 53 off 58 balls, including five fours and two sixes. Parameeshwaran is the new batter for Pondicherry.

Pondicherry lose their third wicket as Prameeshwaram is caught by Azharuddeen, with Aparajith finally getting a wicket. His knock ends at just 11, and captain Aman Khan comes on as the new batter. At the other end, Shreeram reaches his half-century, currently batting at 53 off 52 balls.

Since Shreeram's departure in the 27th over – being dismissed at 57 off 54 by Eden Apple Tom – Aman is trying to build up another partnership with Marimuthu. So far, the captain has had to do most of the work as the new batter is still finding his feet, with 20 overs left in the innings.

In 36.4 overs, Pondicherry get past the 200-run mark. Aman Khan was bowled by Narayanan at 27, and since then, Marimuthu and Yadav are trying to add some vital runs on the board. 13 overs are still remaining, but can Pondicherry's tail take them to around 300?

A proper batting collapse happened for Pondicherry, who lost five wickets in less than five overs. None of the last four batters could even reach double digits. As a result, an innings that looked primed for 300-plus at one point – courtesy of half-centuries from Rohera and Shreeram – is all out for just 247.

Kerala's chase suffers an early blow as Sanju Samson gives up his wicket cheaply for just 11 runs. After two boundaries, the wicketkeeper was looking good out there, but Vaghani castles the stumps to give Pondicherry the first breakthrough. Aparajith is the new batter, with captain Kunnummal at the other end.

After two early wickets, the partnership between Vishnu and Aparajith – now worth 75 runs – has stabilised the Kerala chase. Vishnu reached a well-taken half-century, batting at 55 off just 40 balls, including five fours and four sixes. Aparajith is taking a more measured approach, but the tide has again swung towards the chasing side.

Vishnu Vinod, the heartbeat of Kerala's chase today, reaches a superb century in 63 balls, which included eight boundaries and eight sixes. This is the eighth List A hundred for the 32-year-old batter, and his partnership with Aparajith – who is approaching a half-century of his own – has put Kerala in prime position to seal the match.

What a six-hitting clinic from Vishnu Vinod! The marauding right-hander smashes 14 maximums en route an unbeaten 162 off 84, as Kerala complete a thumping eight-wicket win. They chase down Pondicherry's 248-run target in a mere 29 overs to notch up their fourth win of the season.
