Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis scored a 52-ball 109 as Peshawar Zalmi registered a whopping 159-run victory over David Warner-led Karachi Kings in match 17 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 on Thursday, April 9 in Karachi.
Batting first, Zalmi lost Mohammad Haris early on but Babar Azam (87 not out) and Mendis then forged a partnership that Karachi Kings could not break. Mendis and Babar unleashed wrath onto the KRK bowlers as they eyed a huge score.
Despite the fall of Mendis, Babar continued his counter-attack as they registered 246 on the board in 20 overs.
In reply, Warner-led side were culprit of giving away their wickets cheaply as they fell to 50/5. Iftikhar Ahmed, Nahid Rana and Sufiyan Muqeem shared three wickets each as KRK were bundled out for a paltry 87 in 16.1 overs.
