POA thumped JKB by 25 runs in the 14th match of the Nepal Premier League 2025 on Thursday, November 27, at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Sumeet Verma single-handedly changed the outcome of the match in Pokhara Avengers favor with his all-round display. He smashed a half-century with the bat in just 29 deliveries and then picked two wickets with the ball too to seal it for his team.

POA got off to a decent start but their middle order stumbled as Sanjay Krishnamurthy chipped in with three wickets in the middle-order and triggered a mini collapse for POA. But Verma along with Trit Raj Das (29) stitched a 72-run partnership to bail POA from a tricky position to a competitve score of 155 runs. In response, JKB never looked in contention to chase it down apart from a flourish in the end by Wayne Parnell (49) which proved out to be too little too late for JKB.
