India have amassed a lead of 244 going into stumps on Day 3 of the second India vs England Test match at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Ahead of Day 4 on 5 July, the visitors have KL Rahul and Karun Nair at the crease with the scoreline reading 64/1, losing opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for 28 early on in the second innings.

After finishing at 587 in the first innings, India did well to fight back against the Three Lions, despite Harry Brook (158) and Jamie Smith (184) posting commanding centuries. The star of the show was pacer Mohammed Siraj, who took six wickets for 70 runs in 19.3 overs to restrict England to 407. Akash Deep took four wickets as well.

India still had the upper hand, even after losing Jaiswal to Josh Tongue early. Rahul and Nair held on till stumps, and India have a healthy lead going into the penultimate day of the Edgbaston Test. Day four at Edgbaston will experience cool, cloudy weather, with temperatures hovering around the 18°C mark. During the evening, it will rise to around 22°C, as per Google Weather. It will remain cloudy throughout the day, with humidity over 70%.

Rainfall predictions are low to moderate, with BBC Weather showing around a 10% chance of rainfall, while AccuWeather shows at least a 50-50 chance that rain will play spoilsport on Day 4. As per Google Weather, there is a 20% chance of light drizzle. Overall, fans can expect a stop-start game at Edgbaston today.
