India Under-19 men's cricket team captain Ayush Mhatre won the toss and elected to field first against the England U-19 side in the second and final Youth Test at Chelmsford's County Ground on Sunday (July 20, 2025). The toss was delayed due to rain at the venue.

The series stands at 0-0 after a drawn opener in Beckenham, with the hosts holding on in a thrilling final session to avert India's charge.

Home team captain Hamza Shaikh led from the front with a fighting century on the fourth and final day of the first Youth Test. Chasing a stiff target of 350, England ended on 270/7 in 63 overs with Shaikh scoring a composed 112 off 140 balls with 11 fours and two sixes.

Just like in the first game, all Indian eyes will be on 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and how he fares. This is the last match in the Indian colts' England tour.
