Bangladesh produced a clinical all-round performance and thrashed visitors by eight wickets with 39 deliveries remaining in the opening match of the three match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Opting to bowl first, hosts reduced visitors on 136, courtesy of a clinical bowling performance by Taksing Ahmed. He took four-for and and Saif Hasan took two wickets.

Mustafizur Rahman too chipped in with a wicket, but it was more a poor batting display form the visitors, who didn't read the wicket well and played few poor shots.

Apart from Max O'Dowd, who opened the inning quote well and scored 23 it was Teja Nidamanuru, who top scored with 26 but rest of the batters fall like a pile of cards gifting their wickets to Bangladeshi bowlers.

Chasing the target, Parvez Hossain Emon gave a perfect start and stitched opening partnership of 26 runs but departed soon after that. However, skipper Litton Das firstly with Tanzid Hasan stitched partnership of 36 runs and then with Saif Hassan another 46 to take team home.

Das was unbeaten on 54 and Hassan on 36 as Bangladesh cruised to eight wicket victory with 39 balls remaining.
