Indian star batter Virat Kohli made a grand comeback to the Vijay Hazare Trophy after 15 years with a masterful 131, powering Delhi to a four-wicket victory over Andhra in their opening Group D match on Wednesday.

Virat Kohli donned his master chaser hat to take Delhi over the line with a scintillating 131 off 101 balls. He was well complemented by Nitish Rana (77, 55b) and Priyansh Arya (74, 44b) as Delhi scaled down a challenging target of 299 in 37.4 overs.

Earlier Ricky Bhui from Andhra slammed a century (122, 105b) to lead Andhra to 298/8 but got overshadowed by Kohli's brilliance. Pacer Simarjeet Singh grabbed a five-for and played a key role in Delhi's win by restricting Andhra to a modest total on a flat pitch.

Virat Kohli Becomes Fastest To 16000 List A Runs

This was Virat Kohli's 58th List A hundred, and with it, he has also become the fastest batter to reach 16,000 runs in just 330 innings, followed by the legend Sachin Tendulkar, who took 391 innings to achieve the feat. Kohli looked in sublime touch today and reached his fifty in just 39 balls and later 100 in 83 balls with a four off pacer Shiva Narasimha Raju.
