The former world No. 1 pair will face second seeds Aaron Chia–Soh Wooi Yik in their final group match on Friday.

Now the pressure is on Satwik-Chirag, they must take the second game to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
Game 2 is underway and the battle is evenly poised. Chia-Soh hit three quick points after the mid-game interval to take the lead, but some luck favors Satwik-Chirag as Shetty’s net push drifts over, leveling the score at 12-12. The Indians know there’s no room to relax.
Chirag Shetty receives a yellow card for deliberately delaying play, but Satwik-Chirag are on the verge of closing out the game with two match points at 20-18.
A stark shift from the first game sees Satwik and Chirag taking the reins this time. While coach Tan Kim Her had been doing all the talking earlier, the Indian duo now voice their strategies and steer the game, with the coach stepping back to let them lead.
Satwik-Chirag start strong in the decider, opening up an 11-9 lead before the change of ends, putting themselves in a promising position.
Satwik-Chirag storm into the semi-finals with a thrilling come-from-behind victory, overcoming Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik 17-21, 21-18, 21-15. After a scare from the Malaysians, the Indians held their nerve under pressure, becoming only the fourth Indian duo after Jwala-Diju, PV Sindhu, and Saina Nehwal to reach the BWF World Tour Finals semi-finals.
