“I think everyone agrees that. I’m in a much better space definitely in terms of my game. I’m enjoying badminton much more,” Sen was quoted in Sportstar.

Lakshya Sen v Lin Chun Yi, quarter-final match could start at 4pm IST approximately.

Jonatan Christie held his nerve when it mattered, edging past Christo Popov 21–19, 21–19 in today’s quarter-final to book his place in the semi-finals. Popov stayed in the fight till the end of both games, but Christie’s control in the closing points made the difference.

The quarter-final is up and running, with Kunlavut Vitidsarn edging ahead early at 11–8 against Loh Kean Yew as the first set settles into rhythm.

Kunlavut Vitidsarn took the opening game 21-14 before Loh Kean Yew hit back 21-15 to force a decider. The third game is finely poised at 15-14.

Lakshya Sen’s clash with Lin Chun Yi has been delayed to 6:30 PM, with one more match still to be played on Court 1 before their encounter.

Lakshya Sen vs Lin Chun Yi is underway, with Sen set to receive first from the far end. Lin opens the scoring with a half-smash into Sen’s body, but Sen quickly evens it out with a sharp, well-placed return. The score is 1-1.

Lin Chun Yi storms back to take the second game 21-13, forcing a decider! The Chinese Taipei shuttler opened up seven game points at 20-13, prompting a quick towel break from Lakshya Sen. A fast-paced rally turned into a flat shot exchange, and Sen’s final return went wide, handing Lin the game.

Lakshya Sen’s run ends as Lin Chun Yi claims victory! Pushed deep into his backhand side, Sen manages a return but loses his balance, falling to the court. Lin seizes the moment to take the point and the match, advancing to the men’s singles semi-finals. India’s campaign at the 2026 India Open comes to an end in the quarter-finals.
