Indian itr is now known more for its rich medicinal properties. It's increasingly being used for aroma therapy these days. And those who have dared to try various unexplored and unattempted concoctions to make itr more acceptable usually have a success story to tell. Vijay Verjiya of Sugandhco Perfumers, Lucknow, is proud that he has even managed to figure in the western market. "I don't believe that one should refrain from making products like deodorants, perfumes, oils for aroma therapy and even skin-care products," claims Vijay. From a few drops of itr he makes deodorants that are in great demand not only here in India, but all over the world.
