Indian itr is now known more for its rich medicinal properties. It's increasingly being used for aroma therapy these days. From a few drops of itr he makes deodorants that are in great demand not only here in India, but all over the world.

The floral extracts with oil base can be extensively marketed for aroma therapy. Jasmine extract with its exotic aroma is helpful in cases of stress and hypertension. Inhaling sandalwood oil lessens stress and can stop vomiting. Applying it on the chest and throat cures dry cough. Its curative properties extend to skin ailments as well.

Marigold extract is an old medicine meant to heal stubborn wounds. It has excellent antiseptic properties.

Only a little education and support from the government will help this industry realise the vast and varied applications and uses for its products.

These herbal extracts, besides catching a connoisseur by his nose, can, in fact, enhance the quality of modern life, caught as it is in the current hectic rigmarole and a routine full of stress.
