Prasad Bidapa on the first ever large-scale men's fashion event in India

The first Fashion Fair in 2005 was experimental; we had 25 designers spread over three days. This time it was a much larger concept. We had 40 designers, including five from abroad. It was spread over four days at the gorgeous Bangalore Palace. We had both designers and brand names and this gave them exposure to each other’s work.

The response was excellent. Designers said it was the best ever fashion week because it was such a huge concept. We had the capacity for 2,500 people, and the ramp was 150 feet long. We had 45 models in all. It was a mega production.
