• Raison d’etre They want their men to groom themselves as keenly as they do. Time spent in front of the mirror just became the latest signifier in the gender equality debate.
• Action Plan Since the movement is endorsed by Gillette, actresses Mugdha Godse, Neha Dhupia and Minissha Lamba found it easy to give their blessing to it.

Save India Family Foundation (SIFF)

• Motto To end ‘Legal Terrorism’
• Mission To make India realise that the cause of battered husbands is far more important than women’s empowerment.
• Raison d’etre Wives nagging can be just as oppressive as husbands beating, and moreover, it is always the evil gold-digging woman who is responsible for a marriage failing.
• Action Plan Compiles statistics to show that more Indian married men than wives have committed suicide.

All India Mother-in-law Protection Forum (AIMPF)

• Motto We are Victims not Vamps
• Mission Set up by husbands and their fathers, the forum wants a National Commission for Men. Why should girls have all the fun?
• Raison d’etre In the battle of sexes, only the mother-in-law can beat the daughter-in-law at her own game, kyonki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi.
• Action Plan They campaign against laws that allow daughters-in-law to protest against dowry harassment and abuse.

• Obsessing over body image makes men unhealthy Researchers believe men who spend too much time in the gym are likely to develop a condition called ‘athletica nervosa’ which can be as risky as emaciation-inducing anorexia.
