How The Master Plan Lives

Coastal Thali Food Festival, a Japanese folk tale and a photo exhibit documenting architectural design.

As part of the Delhi Photo Fest comes a unique exhibition by architectural photographer Antonio Martinelli. The exhibit, titled ‘In the Footsteps of Le Corbusier’, is the latest attempt by the Paris-based photographer to document architectural design. Martinelli has tried to bring out Corbusier’s planning of Chandigarh. The artist himself has had an interesting experience with India, documenting monuments built by the Deccan sultans. He has also had all his belongings—except his camera—stolen during his first visit in 1972. His exhibition, however, is not likely to rob you of your time without more than adequate recompense. Till Nov 17, Art Heritage Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam

Hyderabad Food
By The Rupnarayan

Bringing a slice of the shore to plates in Hyderabad is the ongoing Coastal Thali Food Festival via the Taj Deccan. From Kolaghat in West Bengal to Kathiawad in Gujarat and Karwar in Karnataka, it is bound to be a treat for those with a nose for seafood and spicy fare. The Erachi stew from the Kerala thali is one that you would not want to miss out on, or the Kadala Kuzhambu from the Chettinad coast. Another tongue-tingler is the Grilled Baby Red Snapper in Karwar spice. The Kolaghat thali has been earning rave reviews for its Chholar Dal, Begun Bhaja, Kumro Chingri and the Luchi, with a special mention reserved for the Chocolate Sandesh. And all of this comes in separate arrangements for the vegetarian and the meat-loving. Those who cannot resist the exotic spices or the delightful flavours would not want this extravaganza to pass them by. Till Nov 20, Spice Junxion
