10 Things The RSS Told Us

1 Democratic institutions have been there ever since the Vedic period. Even then, the king was elected every two years.

2 Corruption, a lack of discipline and idealism, and power pursuits make the Bharatiya Janata Party a
burden on the Sangh parivar.

3 If we don’t have the power of violence, we cannot be non-violent. If we have violent power and don’t use it, it’s non-violence.

4 The appointment of lightweight presidents like Bangaru Laxman and Venkaiah Naidu shows the BJP’s contempt for theorganisation.

5 The RSS is the invisible partner of the NDA government just like visible partners such as the Samata Party and MamataBanerjee.

6 Nobody gets along 100 per cent with his wife. The BJP is closest to us. Who else can we support? Sonia Gandhi?

7 We’ve allowed our swayamsevaks to join any party. But other parties are not accepting them unless they sever their links with theRSS, which our swayamsevaks are not ready to do.

8 The followers of Lord Ram, Krishna and Guru Sahiban are not different. The entire Sikh sect is an integral part of Hindu society.

9 The image of the RSS can’t be sullied by Tehelka. Though it did engulf one of ourswayamsevaks, we’re satisfied that he quit.

10 What have people done from the start except abuse us? Because we are a power to reckon with, people oppose us.
